My Healthy Paws renewal doubled AND the coverage got worse. What would you do?

Pet owner experience

We've had Healthy Paws for our Cavalier King Charles spaniel since 2016. She's nine now, and I just got the renewal information.

Last year we paid $95 a month. The policy had a $250 deductible and 80% reimbursement. Now it looks like $198 a month, a $500 deductible, and 70% reimbursement.

It's not just the price that bothers me. We'd be paying more every month and taking on a larger share of the bill. We've also had major health issues in the past couple years, so changing companies isn't an easy decision.

I'm honestly torn. Family could help if we got a big emergency bill, but I'd rather keep the coverage if I can. Has anyone stayed after a change like this, or found a way to make the renewal manageable?
