I've had Nationwide's Whole Pet with Wellness plan for my indoor cat for about four or five years. He's eight now, and thankfully he's been healthy.
I started at around $40 a month. The price kept climbing, but last year I was paying $70.22. Now I'm getting charged $184.44 a month. I had to check it twice.
I'm in California. The only claim I can remember submitting was years ago, for dental cleaning and annual exams, about $700. I thought I was buying long-term peace of mind, not a premium that would jump like this.
Has anyone dealt with a Nationwide increase this big? Did you call, change coverage, or move to another insurer? I'm nervous about switching with an older cat.
