PumpkinNow is Pumpkin’s urgent-pay service for pet insurance customers, not a separate insurance plan. It is designed to expedite eligible claims and estimates while a pet is still at the veterinary clinic.
$500+ claim thresholdClaims for covered veterinary services costing $500 or more can be eligible for expedited PumpkinNow review.
Estimates can qualify tooPumpkin’s current terms say estimates for future or scheduled treatment of any amount can be submitted for expedited pre-approval.
As little as 15 minutesIf an approved claim is sent to an RTP-enabled bank, Pumpkin says funds can arrive in as little as 15 minutes. Other direct deposits may take 1–3 days.
Funds go to the pet ownerPumpkinNow does not pay the hospital directly. Approved covered funds are sent to the policyholder.
